The unexpected arrival of well-known rapper, Kanye West, at the Trump Towers for meeting with President-elect Donald Trump, has raised many a speculation in the media and public.
After the nearly forty- minute meeting, the two of them emerged from the elevators where a host of reporters was waiting in anticipation with their ready-questions, one would presume.
When asked by a reporter, “Mr Trump, Kanye, what did you guys discuss in the meeting today?” Trump’s reply was, “Just friends, Just friends. And he’s a good man.”
Trump was not too forthcoming about the meeting saying they discussed “life.”
Kanye chose not to reply when asked about his talk earlier about running for the presidency in 2020. Neither did he make a comment when asked if he was planning to perform at the Trump inaugural ceremony next year. All Kanye said was, “I just want to take a picture right now.”
The two parted with the President-elect saying, “So long, man. You take care of yourself, I’ll see you soon alright?” patting him on the back. However, Tuesday afternoon Kanye said that he met with Trump to discuss “multicultural issues.”
“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” Kanye explained in his tweet. “These issues including bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.”
He went on to say, ““I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
Earlier, in November, after the sudden cancellation of his concert tour, Kanye was hospitalised and kept under observation at the UCLA Medical Center for “exhaustion.”
Apparently, Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West was in New York to attend a charity event held in honour of her late father but returned back to Los Angeles when she came to know of her husband’s condition and subsequent hospitalization.
However, after spending more than a week at the medical centre, he was discharged on November 30 to return home to be under the care of Kim Kardashian, his wife, and his personal physician.
Meanwhile, Beverly Hills Psychiatrist Carole Lieberman M.D. told HollywoodLife.com exclusively: “I can’t believe they let him out! A patient with the symptoms that Kanye West has been exhibiting would need far more than a week to be stabilized sufficiently to return home. Reports indicated that he was paranoid, depressed, psychotic — and perhaps hallucinating — to the point that he needed to be cuffed and sent to the hospital in an ambulance on a 5150 involuntary hold.”
Coming back to Kanye’s meeting with Trump, his second public appearance since his release from the UCLA Medical Center; there is another speculation that Trump sees the potential in Kanye of being a role model in so far as business is concerned.
A source told E! News that the President-elect was considering Kanye as an “ambassador of sorts” in an “entrepreneurial leadership role.”
Before his hospitalization, speaking at a California show, Kanye had said that had he voted this year, he would have voted for Trump. He is also known to have said at the MTV Video Music Awards, last year, that he would run for president in 2020.
He ended his tweet spree with the hint that he may run for president in 2024, if not 2020.
