Cardi B Thrown Out of Albany Hotel for Smoking Weed | She Denies the Charge, Blames Cops of Racism

Early Sunday morning hip-hop artist and television personality Belcalis Almanzar, professionally known as Cardi B, was reportedly evicted from an Albany hotel for allegedly smoking weed, a charge which she has vehemently denied accusing the hotel authorities and the Albany cops of racism.

After her Saturday night performance at the Times Union Center, Cardi B was at the Hilton Albany when the hotel had to call in the cops on complaints of noise coming from the second floor where B and her team were lodged. They were then asked by Security to get out as, apparently, there was weed smell in her room.

Before storming out of the property B was captured on video calling a hotel staff member a “white piece of shit” and a “racist motherfucker.

Meanwhile, an Albany Police Department representative has said that the police did not find any evidence of weed in any of the rooms occupied by Cardi and her team. No arrests were made. Reportedly, the Albany PD has denied all allegations of racism against the department.

An upset Cardi B, and understandably so, took to social media with a series of Instagram selfie video messages explaining the night’s events which have now been removed from the social networking site.

Here are parts of some of her Instagram messages – it would be a bit harsh to call them rantings, as much as one is tempted to because there were no arrests made and prima facie she seems to be innocent.

“You wanna know something? Albany is known for being racist,” she said in one of the video posts. “The floor that I was staying in in my hotel room, it smelled like weed. So the cops came in the middle of the night, knocking on my manager and on my door, talking about that we were smoking weed and we gotta get kicked out.”

“Everybody knows that I do not smoke weed; I get very paranoid,” her messages continued.

“And none of my team members smoke weed,” she said. “We could all get drug tests—nobody smokes. Nobody smokes. Especially when I’m sleeping and…you’re not gonna do that to me. Mind you, everybody on the floor was Caucasian but you wanna kick us out.”

And she said, “Motherf–kers was being prejudiced and picking on who the f–k they thought that was smoking weed and you got the wrong f–king one. I’m telling you, I do not smoke weed.”

“And I really don’t want to be the one that pulls the ‘race card,’ like, ‘Oh, they did that ’cause they’re racist,’ but that is the only explanation that I could f–king find because I don’t understand, like, lemme tell you something, I don’t walk around with a whole entourage; it just be me, my manager, my security guard, the DJ and my dancers and nobody smokes weed,” Cardi B continued. “So for motherfkers to just say like, ‘Oh, we’re kicking you guys out because there’s a smell of marijuana,’ so why don’t ya’ll search the room? And then they told us that earlier, there was some rap artist that was smoking weed and they got kicked out too. We’re not associated with them. So why- I just can’t. I can’t, really. I really can’t.”

Hours before the hotel drama, B posted a selfie on Instagram Stories captioned “Single” – her way of saying that she had broken up with hip-hop boyfriend Offset.
