Jill Stein’s Vote Recount Effort Enrages Donald Trump - ‘Nothing Will Change’

Green Party’s Jill Stein’s statement on Wednesday about filing for vote recounts in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania – followed up by Hillary Clinton’s announcement on Saturday about joining the recount efforts in Wisconsin (albeit with no expectations of a different outcome) – triggered a barrage of tweets from the President-elect Donald Trump, which clearly reflected his disgust and anger at such displays of “hypocrisy.” However, the actual filing of Wisconsin recount was done on Friday by Green Party’s Jill Stein

In a Medium post, lawyer Marc Elias said that the Clinton campaign had received “hundreds of messages, emails, and calls urging us to do something, anything, to investigate claims that the election results were hacked and altered in a way to disadvantage Secretary Clinton,” especially in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, where the “combined margin of victory for Donald Trump was merely 107,000 votes.”

Elias clarified by saying, “not uncovered any actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology.” It was the margin with which Trump won, and the supposed foreign interference that elicited such alarm. Elias said Clinton officials had “quietly taken a number of steps in the last two weeks to rule in or out any possibility of outside interference in the vote tally in these critical battleground states.”

Since the election results, it is reported, that Clinton’s election campaign has had its apprehensions about the election results and has been looking into the possibilities of any “outside interference” in the direction the election went. It was confirmed by Clinton-campaign attorney, on Saturday that the campaign would participate in the Stein initiated recount in the state of Wisconsin.

President-elect Trump’s seething anger and incredulity is rather evident from his tweets following the recount noises resonating among the Democrats, especially the announcement by the Clinton Camp about joining the recount call in Wisconsin. According to one report, Trump “unleashed a tweetstorm” Sunday morning in response to the recount advocacy by Democrats.

In reality, he had already started his tweeting on the recount proposal late on Saturday, calling it a “scam” by the Green Party to “fill up their coffers” – He did not spare the Democrats in joining in the effort, either. Early on Sunday, Trump, relentlessly resumed his condemnation, saying that Clinton had conceded defeat in her call to Trump before his victory speech. He said, “Nothing was going the change. “
