Juliana Hough, “Dancing with the Stars” judge, marries Canadian ice hockey star and fiancé since August 2015, Brooks Laich, in a romantic outdoor setting in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Saturday, first reported by PEOPLE.
The nuptial vows were taken in front of 200 guests including actor Aaron Paul, DWTS pro-Mark Ballas, and Hough’s brother Derek who was also one of the groomsmen in the wedding.
Also, in attendance were actress and close friend of the couple, Nina Dobrev, and the doting couple’s equally doting Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Lexi, and Herley, who served as ring bearers with floral collars.
Twenty-eight-year-old Hough looked the picture in a stunning white strapless Marchesa gown accessorized by Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Laich, 34, complimented the beautiful bride in traditional groom’s attire – tuxedo and bowtie.
“I don’t think I ever really necessarily dreamed about my wedding as a kid,” Hough, 29, told PEOPLE exclusively. “But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life.”
PEOPLE reported that the wedding arrangements were planned by Troy Williams of Simply Troy Lifestyle + Events which “kicked off with a welcome dinner for guests on Thursday night at the Blackwell Hotel followed by a beach day on Friday on the lake at Coeur d’Alene Resort.”
Wooden pews were set up for the guests at the outdoor venue surrounded by lush flora including roses, tulips, flower boxes and the likes, all arranged by Kristen Griffith-VanderYacht of Wild Bloom, as reported by PEOPLE.
“It was really important to me that we had our ceremony outdoors,” Laich told PEOPLE. “Julianne and I are very adventurous and free and wanted the setting to be in nature.”
Some of the features and highlights of the wedding as reported by PEOPLE:
- The reception featured a cocktail area lounge
- The menu by Le Catering included “Smoked Columbia River
Steelhead with Washington Apple Slaw, Chili Aioli, and Ginger Glaze
Charcoal Braised Shortribs. Guests also enjoyed Strawberry-Rhubarb Crisp with Whipped Sour Cream for dessert.”
- The couple danced to the music of L.A.-based DJ Derek Monteiro on a custom-made antique mirror dance floor
- There was a Mirmir photo booth to capture the special moments
- The guests were treated to sweets at the Sugarfina station at the reception
- The celebrations culminated with a spectacular fireworks display in the Idaho night sky.
