Like father, like son! In the case of 41-year-old Jeffrey Sandusky, however, like father, like adopted son would be a more apt phraseology.
Jerry Sandusky, the former Pennsylvania State assistant football coach, was convicted and imprisoned for 30 years back in 2012 for numerous sexual offenses against minors.
Just when the memory of the despicable, evil man (how else do you describe someone who is guilty of sexual assault on children) was fading into people’s deep subconscious, his adopted son, Jeffrey Sandusky, got arrested by the Penn State Police in Bellefonte, on Monday, for similar offences and brought it all crashing back. Old wounds have started bleeding again.
Jeffrey Sandusky has been charged with 14 counts of felony, involving two minor girls, including “statutory sexual assault, solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts each of solicitation to photograph or depict sexual acts, sexual abuse of children and corruption of minors,” as reported by USA Today.
Records show that two of Jeffrey’s victims were minor girls who were contacted by him on a daily basis and, allegedly, he asked one of them to send him nude pictures through text messaging. He asked the victim to erase his messages when she turned down his loathsome request.
“No, we don’t need to talk and we aren’t going to,” the victim is reported to have told him. “You did what you did and I’m not going to give you a chance to try to justify it. You literally tried to guilt me into doing it and you even told me specifically what I ‘needed’ to do. You know who does that? Rapists and abusers… I don’t know how many times I need to tell you no and to stop before you get it.”
The victim who was asked for her nude pictures is the daughter of the woman who dated Jeffry Sandusky for six years and spent five years living with him. On November 21, 2016, the victim’s father revealed the text messages of March 1 and 2, 2016, to the police. One of the messages, reportedly, says that it was not “weird” to receive the explicit materials as he was “studying medicine.”
His second victim, who is also a minor under 16 years of age, was allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse by Sandusky in 2013.
While Sandusky’s defense attorney declined to comment this is what Center County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller had to say about the allegations: “All children have a right to be safe,” she said. “We will prosecute this case as aggressively as we do all child abuse cases.”
According to the Associated Press, on Monday, Rock View State Prison suspended Sandusky from his position as Corrections Officer where he had been working since he was hired in August 2015.
