Santa’s Got Competition this Christmas - 'Pokémon Go' Will Serve Free Goodies on Christmas Day

Pokémon Go developer Niantic is not yet done with December. After introducing more Pokémon in more places this month, they have a surprise for Christmas Day which will continue up to January 3 next year – Santa’s job made easier!

In addition to players’ enhanced chances of getting Topegi and Pichu, there will be newly added Pokémon from hatched Eggs including an increase in the pop-ups of Pikachu wearing the Santa hat.

Now, the Pokémon GO needs incubators to hatch eggs; hence, the more the eggs the more the Pokémon. Having taken this into consideration, effective December 25, three lucky players will receive an incubator each from their first PokéStop visit and this trend will continue right up to the end of January 3, 2017.

Fantastic, isn’t it? Well, Pokémon players, the surprises don’t end here – there are many more to get excited about this festive season – read on!

In a separate event being hosted by Niantic commencing December 30 and ending January 8 next year, the three starter Pokémon – Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle including their ‘bigger and badder’ evolutions will appear with increased frequency all over the world.

To add to it, your chances of getting hold of Charizard, Blastoise, or Venusaur will further increase, in that, the lures will last for 60 minutes in lieu of the 30 that you have now.

Furthermore “Pokémon GO Arrives on Apple Watch” enabling you to keep count of your steps and even assist you in hatching Eggs and promises much more.

Pokémon GO can now be played on your Apple Watch without the need of “taking out your iPhone out of your pocket.”

The Apple Watch with Pokémon GO will enable you to secure items from PokéStops, know and see which Pokémon are in your vicinity, and also allow you to “count your steps toward hatching Eggs” – all this, minus the need to look at your iPhone.

The Pokémon website advises Apple Watch users to update their “Pokémon GO app today to discover the fun of Pokémon GO on your Apple Watch.”
