Congratulations Whitney Bischoff and Ricky Angel!
Whitney Bischoff, 32, former winner of a reality show The Bachelor, finally takes the marital route with 31-year-old sales manager fiancé Ricky Angel. The Saturday wedding took place at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Among the guests at the Oceanview ceremony were “Bachelorette” couple Kaitlyn Bristowe and fiancé Shawn Boothe as well as “Bachelor in Paradise” newlyweds Evan Bass and Carly Waddell.
The bride’s Instagram post last month said it all when she wrote, “He actually looked just like his pics!! He made me laugh. And he made me feel like I could be myself,” adding, “He didn’t care about my past. We were just two kids living in the moment. Fast forward 2 years & we are ready to get hitched in a matter of days. Life is a crazy ride, thanks for hanging on with me @rickyrange16.”
This one time, on 9/24/15, I went on a bumble date and met a really cute guy. He actually looked just like his pics!! He made me laugh. And he made me feel like I could be myself. He didn’t care about my past. We were just two kids living in the moment. Fast forward 2 years & we are ready to get hitched in a matter of days. Life is a crazy ride, thanks for hanging on with me @rickyrange16 Happy National “when I met you” day! 📷: @carlymphotography
The fertility nurse from Chicago had announced her engagement with Angel via a July 2016, Instagram post. “Whitney Angel has a nice ring to it, yall!” her message read, accompanied by a picture of the couple embracing, with Bischoff’s diamond engagement ring clearly visible for all to see.
An insider is supposed to have told E! News that the “wedding took place just after 4 p.m. The ceremony was set up right at the water with chairs lining the aisle. The weather was perfect and sunny.”
Bischoff’s lovely Audrey Grant Bridal satin column wedding gown was designed by herself, which fans got a sneak peek of earlier this year when she posted this.
Words cannot describe how fun it’s been designing my own wedding gown! Thank you to Amanda Bonnell @belleviechicago for helping my vision become a reality. Bischoff, who walked down the aisle to ““My Old Kentucky Home,” was formerly engaged to Iowa farmer and season 19 Bachelor Chris Soules ending the relationship in May 2015.
“I think that it’s important that we maintain our friendship, and I love that we were able to end things cordially. We went through something very unique, and I think that we’ll have a friendship for the rest of our lives,” she had told Us Weekly at the time.
“As soon as I met Ricky, I knew,” Bischoff, who met Angel in 2015 on the dating website Bumble, said.
“I was in a very raw emotional state after my breakup. And I could be myself with him. I didn’t feel like I needed to put on a facade. I felt back to normal. It was a very refreshing feeling.”
